PVC Flexible Cable Supplier & Manufacturers in Dubai, UAE

pvc flexible cables

We have been supplying PVC flexible cable to MEP contractors and procurement teams in the UAE since 1999. The Al Quoz warehouse holds single-core and multi-core sizes from 1.5 sq mm up to 16 sq mm — the range you actually use day to day for conduit wiring, panel work, lighting circuits, and small-power runs. If a size is on the shelf, you can pick it up the same day. Bulk drum quantities, or anything outside the standard range, take 24 hours to quote.

What PVC Flexible Cable Actually Is

It is a low-voltage cable with stranded copper conductors and PVC insulation. The conductor stranding is fine — Class 5 — which is what makes the cable bendable enough to pull through a tight conduit run or terminate cleanly into a busy panel. That is the practical difference between a flexible cable and the solid-conductor wiring some people still associate with the word “cable”. In the UAE, you will see two voltage ratings on the drum: 300/500 V on multi-core, 450/750 V on single-core. Both are made for fixed installation inside conduits, trunkings, or trays. They are not for direct burial. They are not for permanent outdoor use either. If the run goes underground or sits in the sun, you want XLPE armoured or a rubber-sheathed flexible instead.

What We Stock — Standard Range

Standard sizes and drum lengths held at Al Quoz are listed below. Anything else — non-standard colours, longer drums, halogen-free, fire-resistant — is a factory order, usually 3 to 7 working days.

Standards and Approvals

The cable conforms to the standards UAE consultants typically write into a specification:

  • BS 6004:2012 — PVC insulated, non-armoured cables for fixed wiring up to 450/750 V
  • IEC 60227 — the international family of standards for PVC cables in this voltage range
  • Accepted by DEWA, ADDC, SEWA and FEWA for fixed wiring inside conduits, trunkings or trays
  • Riyal Electrical Trading LLC operates under ISO 9001:2015

Type Test Reports and Routine Test Certificates from the manufacturer are available on request — ask when you raise the enquiry and we will include them with the quote.

Where It Is Used on UAE Sites

This is the workhorse cable for fixed wiring jobs inside conduit. A few of the common ones:

  • Lighting and small-power final circuits in offices, retail, and F&B fit-outs, drawn through GI or PVC conduit
  • Panel wiring inside MCC, LV distribution and motor control panels — Class 5 stranding helps when terminations are tight
  • Control wiring at signal currents below 16 A, between panels, contactors and field devices
  • Sub-main runs between distribution boards on villas and apartment buildings
  • HVAC connections to pumps, FCUs and AHUs, where some flexibility helps with vibration
  • Temporary site power and lighting, terminated into IP-rated boxes

Buried runs, exposed outdoor cable, mechanical-risk areas, fire-survival circuits — for any of those, look at heavy duty rubber cables or XLPE power cables. Different jacket, different rating, different rules.

Brands We Carry

PVC flexible from Riyal is sourced from the manufacturers UAE consultants are already used to seeing on approved-makes lists:

  • Ducab — Jebel Ali manufactured, the default approval on most Dubai government and developer projects
  • Oman Cables Industry — frequently accepted as an approved equivalent on consultant submittals
  • Other approved brands handled case by case, depending on what the project specification names

If your spec calls out a particular manufacturer or product code, send it across. We will come back the same business day with stock status and lead time.

Why Buy It From Us

  • Twenty-five years in the UAE market, on the supplier list for projects including Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and the Dubai Metro
  • Al Quoz Industrial Area II warehouse — pickup the same day for in-stock SKUs, citywide delivery across Dubai
  • Authorised distributor relationships, not a parallel-import channel — that matters when consultant approval is on the line
  • Test certificates and Country of Origin paperwork supplied with the cable, not weeks later
  • Project pricing on bulk drums, with quotes back inside 24 hours
  • Onward supply into Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC through our regional logistics partners

Frequently Asked Questions

On site, people use the words interchangeably. Strictly speaking, a PVC flexible wire is a single-core insulated conductor, and a PVC flexible cable is the multi-core sheathed assembly. We stock both, so when you raise the enquiry, just tell us the conductor count and whether you want a sheath.

Different insulation, different jacket, different use case. PVC flexible runs at up to 70 deg C and lives inside a conduit or panel — it is not built for outdoor or buried use. XLPE armoured uses cross-linked polyethylene insulation rated to 90 deg C, has a steel wire armour layer for mechanical protection, and is the cable you choose for underground or outdoor installation. If the run is in the ground or up a pole, you want the XLPE.

Yes, for fixed wiring inside conduits, trunkings or cable trays. PVC cables to BS 6004 and IEC 60227 are accepted across DEWA, ADDC, SEWA and FEWA. The thing worth double-checking is whether your project consultant has named a specific manufacturer on the approved-makes list — that is where most of the surprises come from, not the standard itself.

1.5 to 16 sq mm in single-core and multi-core, on 100, 305, 500 and 1000 m drums. Anything bigger — 25 sq mm and up — is on order from the manufacturer, usually 3 to 7 working days depending on quantity.

Yes. Halogen-free LSZH and fire-resistant FR-PVC versions are factory orders, usually direct from Ducab or Oman Cables. Send the consultant's specification clause — including the standard reference if there is one — and we will quote against the exact product code rather than guessing.

Across all seven Emirates, yes. Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC, also yes — through our regional logistics partners. Cost and lead time depend on quantity and destination, so they are confirmed at the quote stage.
